Medical Supply Company

Provide Permanent MODULAR Buildings with Office Space for 300 Additional Employees

USMGE was provided the opportunity to assist a Medical Supply Company that contributes to society by providing valued products and services in the healthcare market and by responding to the needs of patients and healthcare professionals. They are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of medical devices and supplies. They perform their own research and development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution.

USMGE and its design services team assisted in providing a permanent space solution by adding (2) 5,000 sf modular buildings to provide office space for an additional 300 employees to accommodate a large expansion at an international medical supply center in Maryland.

USMGE’s turnkey solution included permitting and in doing so worked with the City Permitting Office to acquire the building permit in under 1 month.

As part of USMGE’s turnkey services a permanent foundation was installed along with the building’s electrical MDP Panels and connections, as well as all required ADA deck, steps, and ramps.

The buildings were equipped with complete HVAC systems, all electrical components, and low voltage conduits. The interior finishes included upgraded carpet tiles, VCG on the interior walls and T-grid ceiling systems. The roofing systems were black EPDM, and the exteriors were Hardie Panel with a mansard. The modular buildings exteriors were designed to match the existing main campus buildings in appearance. The (2) buildings were installed in 4 weeks without any interruptions to existing operations. These modular buildings will be in use for many years.

Testimonials

What Our Clients Say About Us

“On behalf of everyone at East Baltimore Community School, we would like to commend your firm for the recent completion of our school project. You did and extraordinary job of meeting our schedule even though we had to keep extending the decision-maiking deadline. The first three weeks of the modular installation included steady torrential downpours and you didn't let that stop you from keeping the schedule. You worked with us as we made design changes and helped us meet our budget objectives by assisting with value engineering. Your sub-contractors were uniformly courteous and helpful, particularly during the punch list process. But the most important accomplishment of all was the deliver of a building that provides a safe attractive environment for learning for the students at the School. In early conversations with children about what they liked most about their new school, they said that "the building is new, and it was made just for us." We are sure that you could tell from the students who spoke at the appreciation event, that they are grateful for what they have received and have received it with joy. Everyone who tours the school is amazed at how nice it is and how substantial it feels. People who were skeptical about modular units have become converts.
We look forward to three more expansion phases with you.”
