Baltimore Scrap Corporation

USMGE was contacted by the Baltimore Scrap Corporation with the intentions of replacing their current scale house/office building with a new, 2-story, permanent modular building.

They realized the advantages of modular construction as they needed a quality facility in a timely fashion as to not interrupt their business operations/revenue flow.

All of this at the lower cost at which modular construction affords.

USMGE selected the appropriate manufacturer for the project and facilitated the
design between the client’s needs and the manufacturer. Once plans were finalized,
USMGE obtained all applicable permits for the project. Site work and manufacturing of the building began simultaneously. USMGE installed a temporary modular building, before demolishing and removingthe existing building until the permanent modular was completed.

Next came the construction of an intricate in-ground concrete footer system.

When the site work and manufacturing were complete (concurrently), USMGE transported the units to the site where they were crane set in one day. USMGE handled all of the turnkey responsibilities of seaming the interior and exterior of the building, the electrical and plumbing utilities hookups, and all access features such as decks, stairs (interior and exterior) and canopies.

The final turnkey product is a 2-story, 5,040sf, Hi-Rib Steel, 100% ADA compliant Modular Building Solution!

What Our Clients Say About Us

“I want to thank you and USMGE™ for the effort you put forth this summer to help us develop and deliver specialty locker room buildings for our new athletic complex. The modular units provided are outstanding and meet each of our requirements. As you know this was an especially challenging project due to the short duration of the project and the necessity to make the units compatible with our historic campus. Throughout the design and construction project, USMGE™ and you worked diligently to meed Hood's needs and the constraints of the site. We are very proud of the end product and USMGE™ should be also. thanks again for all your efforts.”
